2- you need a guide for your tour to the pyramids

 

It is not a condition but it is better for you hire a guide. The guide will help you to organize your tour and give you tips for your tours. You will meet persons who sell souvenirs and they will be asked you insistently to buy for them or to ride camels or horses, the guide will help you in these situations. He will advice you with the best things for you.    

      

 

3-Dress appropriately

 

It is very important thing dress appropriately. You should respect the culture of the other countries. Egypt is a Muslim country so, for women, they should wear clothes that cover their arms and legs and in mosques they should wear scarfs. For the men, they can't wear short shorts or singlets. you should also, wear comfortable shoes. The area surrounding the pyramids is sandy and rocky. and you will walk a very large distance or climbing on pyramids.

 

4- Visit on Friday If You can

 

Friday is the weekly day of rest and gathering for Muslims in Egypt. If you have the choice and they come only no on group, select your tour to the pyramids on a Friday. Because the streets are a little emptier and there are not many people going to the pyramids. The pyramids area is quieter in a Friday. To avoid the rush, it is better visit between 9:30 am-10:30 am.

 

5-Go in the Winter

 

It is better visiting Egypt during the winter months, from November to April. During these months, the weather is very cool and nice. You will enjoy with your vacation in winter more than in summer. In the Summer the sun is highly burning, and the heat is extremely high. You can't afford the heat of the sun especially in the archeological sites in the desert. If you come in the summer pack with you sunscreen, hats, umbrella and more water.

 

6-Be aware of scammers

 

They offer a "free" photo or guide, but they aren't free. Just avoid them don not make eye contact and do not smile at them. say simply no thanks and keep walking. If you want to take a photo, ride a camel or horse try to bargain with camel guides to get a good deal. Or ensure your tour guide or drive is more qualified and reputable.  

 

7- Take plenty of water

Tipping is expected for everything and anything in Egypt. it is a very strange thing for many visitors but is a culture. You shouldn't pay much. If you give them five or ten pounds is good for them.

 

9-You 'll only need a few hours

 

You don't need much time to visit the pyramids. For example, you will need only about two hours to visit the Giza Pyramid and about one hour to the Step Pyramid.

 

10-To get some nice photos, though- the camel rides at the panoramic viewing platform are worth it.

 

The camel rides are from 10-30 minutes. If you want a longer ride, you will pay more. Just remember that everything in Egypt is available.

 

11-During Ramadan, the hours do change- keep this in mind

 

Normally the pyramids open around 7 am and close at 4 pm. But in Ramadan the pyramids not open until 8 am and closed at 3 pm.
