Two giant statues of Memnon in the strongest dynasty ruled in ancient Egyptian history ,18th dynasty new kingdom; The heights of the statues 19 m. built in 1350 B.C.    statues of Memnon the only two statues remained from the temple of " Amonhoteb the 3rd ", located in the western bank of Luxor.

 

The Greeks called it Memnon when the western statue made a sound like the legendary hero "Memnon " who is killed in Trojan wars calling every morning his mother "Aios" the goddess of dawn, she was crying and her tears were dew.
